International Aloe Science Council - What is it? (FAQ of the Month: April)

What is the IASC?

Founded in 1981, the International Aloe Science Council was formed to protect the Aloe Vera industry against unfair competition and unnecessary regulations. The Council was set up as an independent regulatory body financed from the membership fees of aloe producers who joined the Council. In 1982, 25 member companies were part of the Council. A code of ethics was agreed, and an inspection and testing programme was devised. To maintain objectivity in testing, an independent laboratory was chosen to inspect and test aloe vera products for purity and strength. 

Companies whose products meet the high standards are certified and allowed to display the International Aloe Science Seal of Approval. This critical testing programme began in 1985. Forever Living Products and Aloe Vera of America knew that the quality of their products was second to none so they requested testing on their raw Aloe Vera Gel and Aloe Berry Nectar.

In early 1986, it was announced that Forever's Aloe Vera Gel and Aloe Berry Nectar would be the first to meet (and exceed) the International Aloe Science Council's high standards and authorisation was granted to display the Seal of Approval on the products. Our goal has always been to be first in the Aloe Vera industry and to lead the world with highest-Quality products. Despite the claims of newer aloe companies that they were the first in Europe to display the seal, the undisputed fact remains that Forever received the seal in 1986 and has been selling its products in Europe since 1988.

Description and Purpose

Pollen is the male fertilising component of plant reproduction. Bees gather and bring it back to their hives for food. Without pollen, plants, trees and flowers could not exist; even we depend on it. Our bee pollen is gathered in patented stainless steel collectors from the blossoms. This ensures the freshest and most potent natural food. Forever Bee Pollen is all natural and contains no preservatives, artificial flavours or colourings.

Bee pollen provides a wide spectrum of essential nutrients. Each is required to maintain perfect health. These include all vitamins of the B-complex and vitamin C. Description and Purpose

Every day we buy different detergents to clean different things. Wouldn’t it be nice to buy just one multi-purpose product for the laundry, the dishes, the floor, even the bathroom? MPD brings you just that- a formulated detergent that is highly effective and very economical to use.
